Number Line

Number Line concept was introduced with the help of an activity.

Pre schoolers stood on  given number and were asked to reach on different number. For example a student was given number 3 and asked to go to number 7 by jumping on to the next numbers. A student then counted the number of jumps he/she has taken. In above example student took 4 jumps forward. This is how concept was incorporated in a fun way.

 

Tunnel addition

Each Student was given number flash card for which they have to take out the same number of counters. Then, both the students put their counters in their respective tunnel.

Counters from the tunnel dropped into a box and both students counted the number of counters altogether. In this way addition was recapitulated and helped them in understanding the concept well.

Maths Activity- Pre school

 Pre schoolers were given random numbers and were asked to keep correspondent objects with those numbers. Students first call out the given numbers and kept the crayons below the numbers. this activity helps in recognition and identification of numbers.
