Vrikshabandhan

This Rakshabandhan, students of Class PS DAVPS Cambridge Wing celebrated with a unique social initiative on 16th August. The initiative- "Vrikshabandhan" - was conceptualised as a way to honour the greens that give us life, by embracing and tying a Rakhi to trees with a special message of love, and promising to protect and nourish them, just as they protect and nourish human life.

Students can also do the activity of 'Vrikshbandhan ' with their parents and grandparents at home, post the same pics in their portfolio under the heading of 'Conserving Nature'

How do we protect a tree
1. By not cutting
2. Recycling leaves and flowers
3. Not writing on the bark of the tree
4. Reminding ourselves of all the things we get from the tree
5. Tying the knot and with it creating a bond with the tree.
