Students of class pre primary, narrated story- Anansi and the turtle. As Unit 9 is project based, we took the story from the book and learners narrated in their own words. Students performed the same with clarity and used the topic vocabulary which in turn helps them learning new words.

After the concept of tens, students of Pre school performed hands on activity of tens and ones. Students were given strips of tens which were placed on 100 grid with ones (individual squares). Students then counted tens as 1 ten, 2 tens, 3 tens (as given on grid) and then counted number of ones (as given- eg 4 ones) which makes number 34. Students placed 3 below ‘T’ and 4 below ‘O’.
Concept of tens was introduced with the help of an activity. Students were told to identify the number of bowls containing 10 counters each. For example, if they were given 3 bowls, then it will be 3 tens with 0 ones. Which makes the number 30. Students placed the numbers 3 and 0 below Tens and Ones on magnetic board.
