Independence Day Celebration

Students of class Pre Primary, celebrated Independence day in school. They came in tricolor dress theme which suits best for the celebration. The day began with the special assembly conducted by class 1 & 2 on Independence day, followed by an activity of making the flag with Leaves (picked up from school park) and learning the symbolic significance of National flag (colors, name of the flag and chakra). Class PS prepared saffron part and class PP prepared Green color of the Flag.

Students enjoyed dancing on Patriotic songs.

 

Letter formation /p/- Pre school

In this session, we are learning the letter formation of /p/. Students were taught the steps of the formation. For eg- 'First we have to make a standing line starting from top Earth line (blue line) and bring it to the water line (bottom line). Second, from the initial point (starting point), we will make half a round, which will touch both the blue lines. This formation will not touch sky line.'

In this way I teach the formations, by explaining each step. Students were taken care of their tripod grip and steps of each formation.

Family tree- Class 1

Class 1 students were given to create their family tree. They used soil, water, twigs, green leaves, pictures to showcase their tree. They also described their family members and their relations with them. This project helps students to understand family relations, their role in the family many other factors which helps them to understand the importance of family.

Monthly activity- Show and tell (Pre Primary)

For monthly activity, students showed 3D shapes and gave few examples related to their shape. This activity was termed as show and tell. It was conducted as part of recapitulation of 3D shapes. This speaking program helps students to boost their confidence and fluency. They performed very enthusiastically and relating their examples with surroundings.

Class Pre School

 Students were being introduced to 2nd sound that is /a/. The sound was introduced with song and its action which helps students to get engaged and enjoy learning new sound. 

After learning the pronunciation, students then recall the names of 4 lines of English which are as follows- Sky line, Earth lines and Water line

Celebrations- Class 1

 L-4 Celebrations was in discussed. Students were telling different festivals and how they celebrate it with their family and friends. Few definitions were learnt in the class as well.

Class PP- vowels

 Concept of vowels was revised and activity was conducted for better understanding. The concept was earlier done in book. Students actively gave the answers and performed the activity.
