Janmashtami was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in the school. A special assembly was conducted by the students of the higher classes, who beautifully presented the significance of Lord Krishna’s birth through a variety of performances.
The little ones added to the festive spirit by dancing joyfully to melodious Krishna songs. A beautifully decorated jhoola (swing) was also arranged, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The celebration was filled with devotion, music, dance and cheerful participation, making the occasion a memorable one for tiny tots.
Vrikshabandhan was celebrated in school with great enthusiasm and joy. A special assembly was conducted to highlight the importance of trees and our responsibility towards protecting and nurturing them.
As a part of the celebration, students tied rakhis to the trees in the school premises, symbolising their bond of love, care and protection towards nature. The activity helped children understand that, just like brothers and sisters, we share a special bond with trees and must protect them.
The celebration beautifully combined the spirit of Raksha Bandhan with the message of environmental conservation, making it a meaningful and memorable experience for the students.
Students participated in a hands-on ten-frame activity to strengthen their counting and number-recognition skills. They were given ten frames containing different quantities of circles and were encouraged to count the circles carefully. After counting, students selected and placed the corresponding number card below the ten frame.
The activity helped students develop one-to-one correspondence, quantity recognition, counting skills and number–quantity association in an engaging and interactive way.
An engaging sound–object association activity was conducted to strengthen the phonics and sound-recognition skills. A variety of familiar objects such as stamps, paints, a notebook, an ink pen, an apron and tape were placed on the table. Students were provided with corresponding sound flashcards and were encouraged to identify the initial sound of each object and place the correct flashcard beside it.
The activity provided hands-on practice in identifying initial sounds, associating sounds with familiar objects and developing phonemic awareness in a fun and meaningful way.
Students enthusiastically participated in a creative tricolour badge activity as part of the Independence Day celebrations. They coloured their badges in the vibrant shades of saffron, white and green, adding a special touch of patriotism to the celebration. The activity was filled with excitement and joy as the young learners proudly wore their handmade tricolour badges and celebrated the spirit of independence. 🇮🇳✨
Children were introduced to the front cover, back cover, title, author and illustrator. They observed different books, identified these parts and discussed how each one helps us understand and explore a book.
The activity encouraged children to develop book awareness, observation skills and early reading habits while making them familiar with the basic features of a book.
