Books open doors to imagination, knowledge and endless possibilities.
On the occasion of World Literacy Day, our little learners embarked on a delightful literary journey with the engaging story I Love to Read! by Rohini Nilekani, illustrated by Angie and Upesh, from Pratham Books.
The story introduced children to characters who enjoy reading in different situations and places. Through a lively picture walk, children observed the illustrations, made predictions and shared their thoughts about what the characters might be doing. They eagerly connected the story with their own experiences of books and reading. The children also explored the idea that reading helps our minds grow. Through a fun “growing brain” action, they enthusiastically repeated:
“I read, my brain grows, grows, grows!
